What is Chemical Energy?
Chemical energy: Chemical molecules have energy contained in their bonds. Exothermic reactions occur when chemical energy is released in the form of heat during a chemical reaction. Heat is required for some reactions to happen, and some of that energy is stored as chemical energy in newly formed bonds. The body converts the chemical energy in food into mechanical energy and heat. A power plant converts the chemical energy in coal into electrical energy. Electrolysis can be used to provide electrical power from the chemical energy in a battery.
Kinetic Energy
Kinetic energy is the type of energy that an item or particle has as a result of its movement. When work is done on an object by exerting a net force, the object accelerates and gains kinetic energy as a result. Kinetic energy is a property of a moving item or particle that is determined by its mass as well as its motion. Translation (movement along a path from one location to another), rotation around an axis, vibration, or any combination of motions are possible.
Translational kinetic energy of a body is equal to one-half the product of its mass, m, and the square of its velocity, v, or 1/2mv2.
Waterpower
Waterpower is the energy generated by a stream of water turning a wheel or other device. The waterwheel was most likely invented in the first century BCE, and it was widely used for grinding grain, working bellows for furnaces, and other purposes throughout the Middle Ages and into modern times. Benoît Fourneyron, a French experimenter, devised the more compact water turbine in 1827, which feeds water through a set of fixed and moving blades. His initial turbine produced roughly 6 horsepower. He had constructed a turbine capable of producing 50 horsepower by 1832.
Binding Energy
The amount of energy necessary to detach a particle from a system of particles or to disperse all of the particles in the system is referred to as binding energy. Subatomic particles in atomic nuclei, electrons bound to nuclei in atoms, and atoms and ions linked together in crystals are all examples of binding energy.
Renewable energy
Renewable energy, often known as alternative energy, is useful energy obtained from renewable sources such as the Sun (solar energy), wind (wind power), rivers (hydroelectric power), hot springs (geothermal energy), tides (tidal power), and biomass (biomass energy) (biofuels).
