8th International YOGA Day
International YOGA day is marked on the 21st of June every year. Did you know that ‘International Yoga Day was first proposed by Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi on 11th November 2014? On 5 December 2014, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) adopted this proposal and established 21 June as the International Day of Yoga.
Yoga has become the best way for people to connect with their bodies and mind. It is essentially a journey towards self-realization. Every year, thousands of people turn up for yoga courses around the world, and millions practice yoga. There are many people who are keen on learning new things. They are more interested in learning something different rather than reading books or listening to lectures. Yoga is a great option for them because it gives you a lot of control over your body and mind. It enables you to manage your emotions, both positive and negative ones, in a healthy manner.
There are many different yoga poses that can be practiced to achieve different goals. For instance, some yoga poses can help improve flexibility while others can help increase strength. Yoga is also a great way to relax and de-stress. Many people find that when they practice yoga regularly, they sleep better and feel more energized during the day.
Yoga is suitable for people of all ages and levels of fitness. It is important to find a class or instructor that is right for you so that you can get the most out of your practice. If you have any health concerns, it is always best to check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
